Tango - A Calm Foundation for Your Floor

Bring warmth and tactile comfort to your room with the wool Tango rug, featuring a classic checked pattern in green and white.

Feel the comforting warmth and soft texture beneath your feet with the Tango rug, designed to make any room feel cosier.

Crafted from wool, it offers a natural, breathable surface that helps regulate temperature while providing a welcoming spot to step onto each morning.

This rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems, allowing warmth to pass through steadily so your floors remain comfortable throughout the colder months.

Its practical reversible design means you can turn it over to share the wear evenly, helping the wool fibres stay fresh and prolonging the life of the piece.

Produced in India by skilled artisans, this rug reflects traditional craft techniques passed down through generations.

Each piece carries the touch of human skill, ensuring a level of care and individual character that machine-made home textiles simply cannot replicate.

Certified by Care and Fair, your purchase supports ethical working conditions and contributes to better living and educational opportunities for weavers and their families in the production regions.

Design

The Tango rug displays a clean checked pattern with alternating blocks of green and white that create a balanced, orderly visual rhythm.

Narrow striped borders frame the central grid, adding a neat contrast that anchors the design.

The calm green and crisp white colour palette brings a fresh yet grounded feel to modern living spaces.

It pairs easily with wooden furniture and natural textiles, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere in your room.

The Tango rug is hand-woven by skilled artisans who carefully interlace the wool and cotton fibres on traditional looms.

This meticulous hand-weaving process requires patience and precision, allowing craftspeople to maintain steady tension and achieve a neat, durable finish.

Creating a rug of this size by hand takes experienced makers several days to complete from start to finish.

The human effort involved ensures a sturdy structure and a distinct level of personal craftsmanship that brings genuine character to your home.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
