This rug is a testament to honest craft, bringing a touch of authentic character to your floors. The choice of high-quality Wool ensures a natural resilience that stands up well to everyday use while retaining its inviting appearance over time. Its design is intended to blend seamlessly into various interiors, acting as a supportive element that ties your furniture and decor together.

We take pride in the origin of our products, and this piece is sourced from India, where traditional weaving techniques are preserved and celebrated. By choosing this rug, you are welcoming a piece that reflects human skill and a commitment to quality. It is a thoughtful investment for those who appreciate the beauty of natural materials and the calm that a well-chosen rug can bring to a space.

Design

The design of this rug features a clean and rhythmic checkered pattern that brings a sense of order and balance to any room. The interplay between the brown and ivory white tones creates a soft, natural aesthetic that is both visually appealing and understated.

The geometric layout is balanced by a decorative border that frames the central motif, adding a touch of traditional charm to its modern simplicity. This classic combination of colour and pattern makes it an easy piece to style, whether you are aiming for a relaxed or more structured look.

Each Tango rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans in India, a process that requires both patience and precision. By working the Wool fibres through the cotton foundation by hand, the weavers ensure a tight and consistent weave that gives the rug its distinct structure and robustness.

The creation of this rug is a time-intensive effort, with each piece taking several days of focused work to complete. This human touch is what gives the rug its unique character and ensures that every detail is attended to with care. The dedication of the artisans results in a durable product that carries the marks of its handmade origin.

Because the rug is crafted by hand, it possesses a level of quality and authenticity that machine-made alternatives cannot replicate. This hands-on approach ensures that the final product is not only beautiful but also built to withstand the demands of a busy home environment.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
