Kids rugs

It depends on how the room is used. A small kids’ rug (under 160 cm) works well under a cot, beside a single bed or in a reading corner, while a large kids’ rug (230–349 cm) gives a playroom or shared bedroom enough floor space for building, drawing and floor-based play.

Yes – a soft, low-pile children’s rug in a size that fits comfortably under or beside the cot is the safest starting point, since toddlers spend a lot of time crawling and sitting on the floor. Our guide on choosing a rug for a nursery covers pile height and placement in more detail.

Wool kids’ rugs are durable and naturally stain-resistant, making them a solid all-rounder for a bedroom that gets daily use. Cotton kids’ rugs are lighter and easier fto move or roll, and many are machine washable too.

Rainbow, multicoloured and pastel designs tend to work best, since they add colour without needing to match a specific decor scheme as the room changes over time. Browse the full collection or filter straight to multicoloured kids’ rugs if you know that’s the look you want.
