As a testament to its origin, this rug is crafted in India by skilled artisans who bring generations of expertise to every piece. The attention to detail in the construction results in a balanced, high-quality finish that enhances the character of your space. It serves as a foundational element that ties your room together with warmth and style.

Choosing this rug means investing in a piece that values both comfort and traditional craftsmanship. The natural wool pile offers a cosy texture that warms up your floors, while its robust construction ensures it remains a staple in your home for years to come. It is a simple, effective way to elevate the comfort of your living space.

Design

The design of the Tove rug features a rhythmic geometric pattern that plays with light and shadow through its contrasting black and beige motifs. Set against a warm yellow background, these shapes create a balanced and inviting visual rhythm that feels both grounded and modern.

Framed by a decorative border, the composition feels complete and well-defined. The clean lines and earthy colour palette allow the rug to integrate seamlessly into a variety of spaces, adding a touch of visual interest without overwhelming the room.

The Tove rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India. This traditional technique requires significant time and precision, as each thread is carefully integrated to create a durable and consistent surface. The human effort involved in the weaving process ensures that every rug has a unique character that mass-produced alternatives cannot replicate.

Creating a rug of this quality is a labour-intensive process that demands deep focus and steady hands. Artisans spend many hours at the loom to ensure the geometric patterns are perfectly aligned and the structure is sound. This dedication to craft results in a premium product that stands out for its integrity and longevity.

By choosing a hand woven piece, you are supporting a legacy of textile art. The time invested in the production of each rug translates into a superior finished product that feels substantial and well-made. This commitment to the craft ensures that your rug is not just a floor covering, but a piece of functional art for your home.

The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
