Its versatile nature makes it an ideal addition to various rooms, from the bedroom to the living area, where it provides both style and sound absorption.

Rooted in tradition, this rug is sourced from India, where it is made with a focus on durability and daily utility. By choosing this piece, you are bringing a thoughtful, well-made item into your home that is designed to stand up to everyday life while maintaining its inviting look and feel.

Design

The design features a lively interplay of warm tones, with stripes of yellow and multicolor hues that create a dynamic visual rhythm. This organic, striped aesthetic brings a sense of energy and movement to the floor, making it an excellent focal point for a space that needs a bit of brightness.

Its simple, clean lines allow the rich colour palette to take centre stage, ensuring the rug feels both modern and grounded. The variation in the weave adds depth to the design, giving it a subtle, textured appearance that complements its inviting and casual style.

The Ronja rug is carefully hand-woven by skilled artisans, a process that requires patience and a steady hand. Each piece is created on traditional looms, where the cotton threads are interlaced to form the distinctive striped pattern that defines this collection.

This time-honoured technique ensures that each rug is unique, reflecting the human effort and dedication poured into its creation. Because it is handmade, you can feel the individual character in the weave, which provides a level of authenticity and charm that machine-made alternatives simply cannot replicate.

The scale of effort involved in hand-weaving a rug of this size means that each piece represents a significant commitment of time and skill. By supporting these traditional methods, you are helping to preserve valuable craft practices while securing a beautiful, durable addition to your home.

Care & Fair

We are proud to be part of the organization CARE & FAIR. Their mission is to improve the living conditions of carpet weavers in India and their families through education and health

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
