Originating from India, this rug is made with a focus on quality and durability. The combination of high-quality materials ensures a sturdy construction that maintains its beauty over time, making it a reliable and stylish choice for your favourite indoor spaces.

Design

The Myrra rug features a soft, monochromatic beige palette that creates a sense of calm and visual harmony. Its irregular, flowing shape is inspired by organic forms, making it a subtle yet impactful centrepiece that complements a wide range of interior styles.

With its minimalist aesthetic, the design relies on the interplay of light and shadow across the tufted surface. This simple approach ensures that the rug integrates seamlessly into your home without overwhelming the existing decor.

This rug is hand-tufted by skilled artisans who bring a high level of precision and care to every piece. This labour-intensive technique involves punching Wool yarn into a base material, a process that requires both steady hands and an eye for detail to ensure a consistent and soft surface.

Creating a rug of this size and irregular shape is a significant undertaking that takes several days of focused work. By choosing hand-tufted craftsmanship, you are supporting traditional skills and ensuring that your home features a product made with genuine human effort rather than mass-produced methods.

The attention given to the finishing details, such as the carefully trimmed edges that follow the unique shape, highlights the skill involved in its creation. This dedicated approach results in a finished product that feels substantial and well-made, reflecting the time and expertise invested during the production process.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Cleaning instructions

Do this

Spot clean only.
Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Do not iron.
