Design

The design features a whimsical landscape filled with charming, small-scale motifs scattered across a soft light blue background. The playful figures and nature-inspired elements create a lighthearted and artistic look that invites curiosity.

With its circular shape and gentle colour palette, this rug serves as a soft focal point in any interior. It perfectly balances a classic rustic aesthetic with a touch of modern, playful design.

Each Gabbeh Landscape rug is carefully hand-knotted by skilled artisans in India. This labour-intensive process involves tying individual knots onto a cotton foundation, a technique that requires immense patience and a high level of technical skill.

Creating a rug of this quality takes several weeks of dedicated work, as every knot is placed by hand to ensure the integrity of the design. This human effort is what gives the finished piece its distinct character and robust construction, setting it apart from mass-produced alternatives.

The commitment to this time-honoured craft is evident in every detail. By choosing a hand-knotted rug, you are supporting a tradition of excellence that prioritises quality and longevity, ensuring your home is decorated with a piece made to be cherished for years.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this

Do not wash
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
