Gabbeh Giza - A Calm Blue Haven for Your Home

Bring a soft and comforting feel to your living space with this blue wool rug featuring subtle motifs.
Enjoy the wonderful warmth and soft tactile feel that this wool rug brings to your daily routine.
Crafted with 100% wool pile, it naturally absorbs sound and adds a cosy layer of insulation to your floors, making every step feel reassuring and grounded.
Designed for modern living, this piece is fully compatible with underfloor heating systems so you can keep rooms warm and inviting throughout colder months.
It also meets safety standards with an official fire certification for complete peace of mind in any room.
Originating from skilled workshops in India, this rug reflects traditional craftsmanship and care in every fibre.
Certified by OEKO-TEX and Care & Fair, it supports responsible manufacturing practices and ensures safe materials for your family.
The dense weave structure helps the rug retain its shape and softness over years of regular use.
Maintenance is straightforward with regular vacuuming, allowing you to enjoy its natural qualities with minimal effort.

Design

Set against a serene blue field, the design features small, scattered animal and floral motifs inspired by traditional Gabbeh storytelling.
These delicate touches are arranged loosely across the surface, creating a calm and open visual composition.
The rich blue colour palette brings a quiet, grounded atmosphere to the room, making it easy to pair with both neutral and wooden furnishings.
It suits modern interiors looking for a touch of character and artisanal charm.
This rug is meticulously handmade through a loomknotted technique by skilled artisans who dedicate weeks of careful work to its creation.
Every knot is tied with precision, reflecting a deep tradition of textile craft that values human skill over mass production.
The process requires patience and attention to detail, resulting in a durable and substantial home textile.
The dense knotting not only ensures long-lasting quality but also brings out the subtle tonal variations in the wool.

80% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

20% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Care & Fair

Maintenance

  • To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
  • Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
  • If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
  • You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
  • Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

  • For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
  • Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
  • As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
  • Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
  • Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this
  • Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
  • We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
  • For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.
Avoid this
  • Do not wash
  • Do not bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry.
  • Do not iron.
  • Do not dry clean.
