Cuadro - A Timeless Foundation for Your Home

Bring a sense of calm and classic balance to your living space with this beautifully hand woven rug featuring a clean, bold checkered pattern.

The Cuadro rug offers a tactile and grounding presence in any room. Crafted from Wool, it provides a soft yet sturdy surface that brings warmth and comfort to your floors. Its natural fibres are excellent at absorbing sound, helping to create a quieter and more peaceful atmosphere in your home.

Designed for versatility, this rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating, making it an ideal choice for modern living areas or bedrooms where extra warmth is appreciated. The flat-woven construction ensures it lays smoothly and remains easy to maintain throughout daily use.

Every piece is a testament to quality, originating from India where skilled artisans bring years of experience to their work. As part of our Core collection, this rug represents a reliable choice for those who value authentic craft and lasting style in their interior decor.

The thoughtful inclusion of delicate fringe detailing at both ends adds a classic finish to the overall look. Whether placed in a busy hallway or a quiet reading nook, this rug provides a durable and inviting foundation that stands the test of time.

Design

The design features a bold, monochromatic checkered pattern that creates an immediate visual impact. The clean lines and strong contrast between black and white offer a balanced aesthetic that works well in various settings.

With its minimalist approach, the pattern remains a versatile choice that anchors a room without overwhelming other decor. The inclusion of fringe adds a subtle touch of softness to the geometric structure.

This rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India. This traditional method involves a slow, deliberate process where each strand of Wool is expertly manipulated to create the consistent checkered pattern.

The production of a single piece requires significant time and focus, as artisans work on large looms to ensure the tension and weave remain uniform across the entire surface. This human effort creates a level of character and authenticity that simply cannot be replicated by machines.

By choosing a hand woven rug, you are supporting a tradition of craft that prioritises patience and precision. The result is a substantial, well-made textile that reflects the care and dedication invested by the hands that created it.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Avoid hoovering directly over the fringes, as the suction and brushes can catch the threads and cause damage.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
We recommend using an anti-slip mat with this rug, as color migration may occur onto light-colored floors.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
