Aura - A Soft Touch of Calm

Bring a sense of quiet harmony to your home with this tactile rug, featuring a beautiful interplay of high and low pile textures in a calming neutral tone.

The Aura rug offers a serene foundation for any room, blending a clean, modern aesthetic with a deeply tactile experience. By incorporating both high and low pile elements, the surface creates a subtle, layered depth that feels inviting underfoot and adds visual interest to your floor space.

Crafted from Wool and Cotton, this piece provides natural warmth and comfort, making it a perfect addition to living areas or bedrooms where a cosy atmosphere is desired. The materials have been chosen for their durability and soft feel, ensuring that your space remains comfortable and welcoming throughout the seasons.

Designed with modern living in mind, this rug is fully compatible with underfloor heating, allowing you to enjoy consistent warmth across your home. Its natural construction helps to soften the acoustics of a room, creating a more peaceful and quiet environment for you to relax in.

This piece reflects a commitment to quality and thoughtful design, bringing a touch of understated elegance to your interior. Whether placed in a minimalist setting or a more layered home, the rug serves as a versatile anchor that ties your furniture together with its gentle and timeless appearance.

Design

The design features a soft, organic pattern that flows across the surface with a gentle, fluid grace. The use of a single, clean white tone emphasises the texture and the sculptural quality of the high and low pile construction.

Its minimalist aesthetic makes it a versatile choice for contemporary homes, providing a sense of order and calm without overwhelming your existing decor. The subtle contrast in height between the pile sections adds a sophisticated dimension to the otherwise simple and elegant visual.

Each rug is carefully hand woven by skilled artisans in India, a process that requires significant time and patience to ensure the highest standards of craft. By choosing handmade, you are supporting traditional techniques that have been passed down through generations.

The creation of this rug involves a dedicated team working to achieve the precise high and low pile detailing that defines its character. Because each piece is crafted by hand, the finished product carries a unique, human touch that simply cannot be replicated by automated machinery.

From the preparation of the Wool and Cotton to the final finishing touches, the production process is focused on creating a resilient and beautiful item. This level of craftsmanship ensures that your rug is not only a stylish choice but also a durable investment for your home.

90% Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

7% Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.

Maintenance

To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.
