The rug features a balanced design with a central medallion set against an open field, which helps to create a sense of calm and openness in any room. Its generous size makes it an ideal centrepiece for larger spaces, providing both visual interest and practical comfort.

Beyond its beauty, this rug is highly functional and designed for lasting daily use. The dense pile naturally absorbs sound and provides excellent insulation, making it a comfortable addition to your home that will retain its character for years to come.

Because each rug is a unique creation, you are acquiring a piece that exists nowhere else in the world. No two rugs are identical, and this specific design will never be replicated, ensuring that your choice is truly personal and distinctive.

Shirvan rugs originate from the historic region of the Middle East, an area long celebrated for its sophisticated weaving traditions. These rugs are deeply connected to the cultural heritage of the Caucasus, where weaving is not merely a craft but a language of symbols and regional identity.

The technical quality of these rugs is defined by their dense, hand-knotted construction using high-quality Wool. The use of natural fibres and traditional methods ensures that the pile remains resilient and soft, a hallmark of pieces from this region that have been passed down through generations.

Visually, the Shirvan style is known for its elegant geometry and botanical motifs. This specific piece features a classic central medallion layout, framed by detailed floral borders that draw the eye inward. The interplay between the neutral field and the rich, saturated accents is a characteristic approach to colour that balances boldness with subtlety.

Owning a piece from this tradition means connecting with a long history of artisan skill. These rugs are highly valued by collectors for their authenticity and the human story woven into every knot, representing a level of heritage and dedication that remains relevant in modern interiors.

This rug is meticulously hand-knotted by skilled artisans who dedicate months of focused effort to its creation. The construction relies on a time-honoured technique that ensures every strand is secured with precision, resulting in a durable and resilient pile.

With a density of 250.000 knots per m2, the rug showcases remarkable pattern clarity and a refined structure. This high level of detail is a testament to the artisan's expertise and the significant time invested in ensuring the finished piece meets a high standard of quality, as higher knot density allows for more intricate patterns and greater durability.

The combination of the substantial 20.2 kg weight and the skilled hand-knotting process results in a robust foundation that lays flat and holds its shape exceptionally well over time. This investment in manual labour and material density is what allows the rug to withstand the demands of a busy home.

Wool

Wool is a fantastic natural fibre with many benefits, it is durable and hard-wearing, which means that a rug made from wool can be used for several generations and maintain its quality. They are an excellent choice for keeping your rooms warm during the cold winter months and can reduce noise from everyday life. The material also has a natural dirt-repellent effect which makes wool rugs easy to keep clean. Wool has a natural elasticity, which means that when the pile is pressed down, it can easily bounce back to its original shape.

Cotton

Cotton is a natural material that makes them a suitable option for people with allergies. The material is soft, durable and resilient, which makes them practical and comfortable for high-traffic areas such as the hallway, kitchen, and bathroom.
