Design

The design is defined by its organic, pebble-like texture that creates a rhythmic and soothing visual appeal. This structured pattern adds depth to a room without overwhelming the space, making it a versatile choice for those who appreciate a clean and calm aesthetic.

The subtle greige and light grey tones enhance the natural beauty of the wool, allowing the light to play across the surface and highlight the unique, raised elements of the weave. Its understated palette ensures it complements a wide variety of interiors.

This rug is meticulously hand-woven by skilled artisans, a traditional process that requires immense patience and precision. Each piece is constructed by hand, ensuring that the unique texture and character of the weave are perfectly captured.

The creation of this rug is a time-intensive endeavour, with the weaving process taking several weeks of dedicated work to complete. This human-led approach ensures that every detail is attended to, resulting in a finished product that offers a depth and quality that cannot be replicated by automated means.

By choosing a hand-woven item, you are supporting a legacy of traditional craftsmanship. The skill involved in maintaining the consistency of the weave across the entire surface is a testament to the expertise of the weavers who bring this design to life.

Maintenance

This rug is handmade with a looped pile, which makes it more prone to snagging. Hoover carefully and keep it away from sharp objects, as these can pull the loops out of place and cause uneven wear.
To prevent shading and uneven wear, frequently rotate your rug.
Use a conventional hoover instead of a robotic cleaner to prevent any damage to the rug.
If you discover a loose thread on your rug, use scissors to gently cut it off. Avoid pulling the thread to prevent damage.
Rug suitable for use with underfloor heating (max. 27°C).
You may notice some shedding on your rug - this is completely normal and a sign of its high-quality natural fibres. The shedding will gradually lessen over time and does not affect the rug’s quality or lifespan. Regular hoovering with gentle suction and occasional brushing will help manage loose fibres and keep your rug looking beautiful for years to come.
Shake the rug outdoors to remove any excess dirt or debris.

Installation

For added safety, stability and floor protection, we recommend using an anti-slip pad underneath the rug (sold separately).
Fold marks may occur during transport. This is not a manufacturing defect and is easy to remedy. Simply turn your rug over, roll it tightly, and leave it for a few hours. Finally, lay out your rug and wait a few days until your rug lays flat against the floor.
As you unpack your new rug, you may notice a slight smell, which is due to the rug being tightly packed during transport. This is normal and will go away after a few days.
Make sure your floor is completely dry before placing the rug.
Please be aware that trapped dirt, dust, or dampness under a rug may cause marks or scratches on sensitive floors.

Care instructions

Do this

Address spills promptly to minimize staining. Blot the affected area gently with a damp, undyed cloth—never rub, as this may embed the stain further into the fibers. Protect the floor beneath the rug by ensuring it's properly covered during the cleaning process.
We recommend that you use Rugvista Stain Remover for this type of rug.
For hard-to-remove stains, we recommend you contact a professional rug cleaner.

Avoid this
