Add vibrancy to any space
Round jute rugs are a practical yet chic addition to any interior space. Jute is a natural fibre that comes from plants, and is famed for its strong threads. Round jute rugs have been around for many years, and the fibre itself dates back many centuries when it was used to make clothing, rope, and paper.
Jute carpets are known for having great sound insulation- better than synthetic fibre rugs. They’re long-lasting and tough, as well as being environmentally friendly. Jute is usually organic, and these rugs can often be recycled.
Where do you put a round jute rug?
A large round jute rug is perfect for a living or dining space. They work particularly well when placed underneath a circular dining table. When it comes to placement in a living room, make it the focal point of the room, in front of the sofa underneath your coffee table, for example. A 150 cm round jute rug would be ideal in this scenario.
When it comes to smaller spaces, small round jute rugs are great for entryways, hallways, and bedrooms. Their neutral tones won’t overwhelm a compact space.
Should a round jute rug be inside or outside?
Round jute rugs should generally be placed inside. This is because they are sensitive to water and moisture. If you do place a jute carpet outside, it should be underneath a roof or shelter, to protect it from the rain. Whether you place your rug inside or outside, it’s best to keep it out of direct sunlight, as jute is very sensitive to UV rays which can cause bleaching and discolouration.
How to clean a round jute rug
It’s important to clean your jute rug to keep it looking its best. The easiest way to do this is to hoover up any dust and dirt regularly and attend to any spills or marks as quickly as possible. To clean your rug, we recommend spot cleaning with cold water. Use a white cloth to prevent colour bleeding, and protect the floor underneath. For deep stains, it’s best to contact a professional carpet cleaner.
If you care for your rug, it should easily stand the test of time. Invest in one of our round jute rugs, and bring an element of nature into your home.
