Rug in real life is very close to the photos, if slightly muted colors (slightly faded look) depending on the light. The rug is low pile, with dense fibers (close together) which makes it very easy to clean & vacuum, as well as being more flexible and less prone to crushing (under table leg) than the other cheaper polyester rug we had from IKEA. Would recommend.
