Jute rugs are very durable with a natural beauty as they are handwoven using yarn prepared from the fiber-rich stems of the jute plant. The natural look of these rugs is also reflected in the colors of the yarn, which may vary slightly. Keep your rug fresh and clean for a long time by regularly vacuuming and rotating to avoid sun bleaching. Should an accident occur, remove any stains with a slightly damp cloth.
Jute is a natural material that is sensitive to UV light and especially when they are colored. This means that if the carpets are placed in direct sunlight, the colors will fade very quickly.
The carpets are sensitive to moisture, therefore they should only be used indoors or outdoors under a roof.

Jute is a long, soft, shiny plant fiber that can be spun into coarse, strong threads. Jute rugs are sensitive to moisture, very durable and have a higher sound-insulating effect than synthetic carpets. Typical for jute rugs is that they are organic and can often be recycled as they are manufactured from a natural material.

A great choice of carpets and the service from ordering until delivery was excellent. Being based in the UK but requiring carpets to be delivered to a Greek island was made so simple with the warehouse based inside the EU and smooth Rugvista operations. By the way, the jute carpets were excellent quality in secure wrapping.

Rug arrived later than arranged ( 3 days ) but it was easy to check on it’s progress , so no panic. The rug was perfect ( for underfloor heating ) & had classic looks. Very pleased with price too !
