I waffled between buying this and an Oriental carpet but went with this one because it felt safer for an online purchase. Nonetheless, I couldn’t be happier with this rug. It’s thick and soft (not as silky as the Bamboo Silk Loom I replaced), but it feels sturdier and nice and wooly. It says it has an artificial silk warp, but I don’t notice it. It feels natural and wooly and the color was just what I wanted -- an earthy off white

These carpets are made in Bhadohi, India using good quality wool which makes them soft and comfortable to walk on. A different kind of loom is used in the production process which makes the work faster than traditional carpet knotting and results in a lower price. However, the newer method does not allow for advanced patterns so they are only available in single colours or simple geometric patterns.
