Abadeh Sherkat Farsh
The colors in the rug will be perceived differently depending on the angle you view it from.
Abadeh Sherkat Farsh carpet from Persia / Iran.
A very attractive and durable carpet woven in the village of Abadeh in southwestern Persia. The pattern is influenced by nomads and usually consists of a hexagon in the middle containing a rosette or a medallion. A good bargain since the carpet retains its value for a long time.
The foundation "Sherkat Farsh" was founded about 70 years ago. The purpose with the foundation was to uphold the traditions of the Persian carpet culture and to maintain the quality in the country's carpet production.
Wool is a natural textile fibre and one of the most sought after materials for rug making. Wool rugs are highly durable and perfectly capable of resisting wear and tear of every day use. Wool has a naturally dirt-repelling effect and is easy to keep clean. It is also flame resistant and characteristically retains it’s shape so that the pile of the rug always rises.
